Mate, you even edited the part where I mention it out of that paragraph. Let's not talk about deflection when this speaks directly to the implication you made in your last post that Trump will bring about another war.

We are debating scare tactics are we not? Is that not what you initially criticized of my post? So when there is an actual danger to world peace, in the form of a raving lunatic, thats not playing on peoples fears, that is bringing a legitimate point of concern to the public eye.

You seem to think that Hillary confronting Putin on such non trivial matters as human rights, means she is worse for world peace than Trump?

Good one.

No, it seems more like you want to stir.

You gave many flagrant insults, how about you back them up with some evidence. The onus is on you to show the truthfulness of your statements.

Ps. No, I'm not a trump supporter.

That is the whole point, so Trump got selected as president of America, so what. We have our own little problem .......

We dont know what Trump is like, yes we have seen what the TV shows us but remember a door swing both ways. Lets see what Trump does in the next few months and then criticize him for his negligence as we did with our own little guy. Is he going to start WWIII, do we even know, hell do we even know if Zuma isnt doing it right now, we will never know. So lets wait and see what is instore for us here in SA. He cant just do things, he will need some authority, the one thing we do know is that there is people against him in the white house (lol, didnt spell it with caps, as I dont care, see) so lets see.

And please refrain from calling people words or names when you didnt see or know that individual, what do you know of Trump except the news papers and we know how reliable they are, dont we. News24, ANN7 etc (news is filtered and is playing on censorship as well as sales)

What? where?

Ok.

Trump playing on peoples irrational fears: As evidence I present any and all Trump speeches where he talks about a rapist from accross the border, and how all muslims need to be treated like terrorists.

The truth about Trump's state of mind: literally anything Trump says or does.

The illegal US invasion of Iraq: Have the WMDs turned up yet?

The cause of the migrant problem: ISIS was started in camps created by the US military where they threw in anyone that looked even remotely suspicions. It was a breeding ground of hatred where real terrorist exponentially increased their numbers, by praying on innocent civilians and converting them. Without these camps, SIS would not be as large as it is. ISIS then starts its thing, which leads to the current migrant crisis.

The republicans actions: In some republican states, creationism is indeed being taught as a science.

Corruption by military industrial complex: look up lobbying and how it has corrupted the US senate.

Well if you think the basis of Hillary/Obama's issues with Russia boils down to only human rights issues then you've really missed the boat.

Didn't catch the stories about the US being unhappy with Russia's harbouring of Edward Snowden nor kept up to date with who's backing who in the Syrian conflict and why?

Source, please.

What you're claiming as "evidence" sounds awfully similar to newsbites from certain sources.

You have a fair point, and are absolutely right, not all of Obama's and Clintons motivation was benevolent.

But let me ask, who would you rather have sitting opposite a megalomaniac like Putin: an experienced negotiator who knows a thing or two about international relations, or a man who is so bad at communication that his Twitter account was taken away from him?

I asked for evidence on his anti-Muslim stance. You provide a Young Turks video on his ISIS comments.

I'm done here. There is no arguing with someone who cannot recognise the difference between tangible evidence and a highly biased opinion piece.

I mention Russia and Clinton's role in bringing us closer to WWIII and you point to illegal immigration....ooooook then. :clapper:

Perhaps actually read what is written in entirety before attempting to bait with pointless deflection?

The truth is... There are no absolutes.

Your opinion is also far from it.

I am open to debate, please tell me what part of my post is opinion and untruthful?

I would say the part where you missed that Americans, contrary to the "popular press" (read liberals with an agenda maybe?) which banged on and on that Clinton would win, have come out and voted with the result a resounding win by Trump.

I don't disagree that Trump is a dick. But he's the lesser of the 2 evils and because there's no filter between his brain and his mouth, ironically he's probably easier to "manage"......

A US client of mine summed it up earlier this year when we were in Togo on a job together... he said,

"GOD DAMM its embarrasin' that these 2 clowns are the best candidates when could come up with in a country the size of the USA" :roflol::roflol:

Maybe this could give some reference to the views held by many Americans....

I'm currently in Los Angeles California and man, you should have seen the people last night whilst watching the elections live at some of the bars. People were crying, swearing. There is clearly a divide in the populace. No one in California wanted this.

I recall the first republican debate last year, and I thought to myself this must be some kind of joke, having Trump running. Never would have thought he would win.

Crazy, but just goes to show when you start creating a "common enemy" and telling the populace that "we need to make America" great again, how nationalism can seriously swing a vote, or there are just more dumb people in the world. Either way, we're in for an interesting 4 years ahead.

One thing we can maybe be happy for is US/Russian tensions may die down.

While there are several arguments for and against each candidate (or more appropriately, Hillary Clinton and the President Elect) contributing towards the debate of "Who is the lesser evil of the two", I can not help but notice the geographic voting outcome of the states. The more progressive states which include the likes of New York and California indicated a strong support of Clinton while the less progressive interior states have proclaimed Trump as their champion.

It is fairly easy to make the association of the more progressive states with that of a higher average caliber of person. Now, while I understand that each state's electorate is severely impressionable to the candidates' campaigns, I do think that there is an argument in believing some states are more impressionable than others through a campaign's various tactics.

If I may be frank, and call a spade a spade, the less progressive interior states have succumb to Trumps' fear-mongering tactics and in combination with the swing-states, have won him the presidential election. It is without a doubt that Trump has produced an intelligent and successful campaign but I think that democracy is once again a flawed concept in this scenario. In the very similar situation in South Africa, the majority of the electorate does not constitute a population of high caliber and intelligent individuals and thus we witness the continuous loyalty to a Governing Party that is unconsciously driving this country into the ground.

While this may be a controversial and depressing outcome for some, we need to have faith in the constitution to protect the people and hope that President-Elect Trumps better character traits and qualities rise to the occasion.

Just to throw another spanner in the works:

MORE people voted for Hillary than for Trump. The reason Trump won is because of the way the Electoral college is set up.

See what I said above, about Hillary having more votes and the electoral college

This is what boggles my mind. Its like the 2 parties picked their 2 worst candidates for the job!
