2016 F30 / 330d Swirl Flap

Hi Guys
So my car started going in and out of limp mode and once scanned it pulled up code 2C3200 Swirl Flaps.
Does anyone know of a local company that sells the blank off kit .

I know Darkside in the UK has it but dont want to import.

Howsit man

Your options are:
- Clean the swirl flaps because I assume they're getting stuck if the car is going into limp.
- Fit the delete kit.
- Just physically remove the swirl flaps itself.

Hi Julian
Will just removing them cause any issues.
I dont mind doing option 2 but who can assist with in gauteng is the questions.

I got a gasket with swirl flaps deleted from Victor Rheinz which i bought from Masterparts. This was for a 2012 F30 320d iirc. N47 motor. I once did the swirl flap delete on my 2016 F30 320d with B47 motor by gutting the swirl flaps and plugging the shaft hole with a bolt iirc. On your motor (probably the B57 motor) the swirl flaps should be the same as the B47 motor but just six in lieu of four. Google Victor Rheinz to see if they sell the deleted gasket as that is the way to go! On my 2016 F30 320d with B47 motor i did not get any error codes after deleting the swirlies.

The 30d doesn't have replaceable swirl flaps on the manifold as far as I am aware. Only option is to delete the swirl flaps or replace the entire manifold.

There's no need to physically remove the flaps.

If they are getting intermittently stuck they can be disabled in the open position via software.

We've done a countless number of these on the F30 330d specifically and these cars are running for years with zero issues

Does deleting swirl flaps affect fuel economy?

Many opinions on that.

On the cars we've done NOT one customer reported any issues with fuel consumption or loss of low down torque.

Some guys have deleted the flaps and chose to keep a semi- blocked dpf in place then cry about fuel consumption.

If you planning to switch off the flaps it's good practice to switch off the egr along with the dpf which should also be physically removed.

can't find any conclusive evidence on the flaps either. I suppose if you're doing that, you might as well disable the EGR and remove the DPF.

(planning to do all of the above together with a remap soon)

Hi Guys

Thanks for all the responses.
The vehicle has a stage 1 file and downpipe

So we have coded it out the swirl flap for now and TPH Adrian has ordered the
Swirlflap delete kit
Egr Delete kit

Once arrives he will fit for me.
