2011 BMW 520d F10 Exclusive - Advise on Purchase

Hi Guys

In need of some advise ...

I might purchase a 2011 520d is there anything i should worry about ?

The car has 147000km of the clock and the braking system has failed but car has been sent to BMW for it to get sorted out which the garage that has the car is sorting out but other then that is there anything i should worry about ?

i would research into the history of the car, also what is the exact issue with the brakes? I would not want BMW to do a minor fix on a major problem.

engines are reliable, gearboxes are strong.., nothing much other than maintenance. Hopefully some F10 owners can chip in.

A colleague of mine has one and I must admit I thought it would be a bit weak for such a big car but I was very surprised. They are very smooth and the 2.0d is surprisingly strong, they cruise very well and obviously get great gas mileage. If you are interested in comfort and not a robot racer they are really good.

As Sash mentioned, I would however do a thorough check on the history and would want to know exactly what the breaking issue was.

Sorry to interject guys!
I have a 2012 520d with motorplan just 1200km left before renewal. The million rand question, do i renew or not? I average 15000km a year becasue i have another car.

A welcome thread is required for this 2012 520d you speak of.

Are looking to extend the time only or kms as well, if only time i would do it.
