the M3 convertible will never be as good as the hard top so it kind of looses its point i think i would go for a 335 if i had to get a convertible...

I think this is the best point made so far. Losing the top loses a bit of what the M is strong at - chassis stability and driving dynamics!

If you up at altitiude, definitely the 335i

If you at the coast, definitely the 335i

It's difficult because, when you chop off the roof you loose the m3ness, so can I justify buying a car 3 years older because of the badge and sound of an engine. Now I'm also got the decision manual vs dct because in both cars can't find good manuals but found good dct models, also dct is taking over the world, will manual be considered outdated? The reason why I'm acting like this is a life and death decision is because I don't to change cars soon, got a baby on the way, must stop wasting money On cars, that said if I get the 335 immediate mods schnitzer springs, new wheels, performance grill and maybe later shnitzer or performance exhaust. I think these mods will make more than happy with a 335 with 4 years warranty. As you can read I'm leaning towards 2011 335 dct but still not sure.

Oh I'm at the coast, all cars breathe better at the coast

You will never be disappointed with the 335i. You may be with the M convertible. Just test drive to be sure. Must say, not sure why you going convertible in our "lovely country". Not like its safe to keep the top down.

I see this as a fairly simple decision (for me anyway). But having said that, test drive both. Your gut will tell you right away which one is for you! Go with your gut.

M3 for heart , 335i for head . For a convertible M3 is overkill IMHO , the handling of the coupe is lost , the posing in a 'vert does not need M3 costs .

Well said!

If you are at the coast get the //M and if you are at altitude get the 335i. Both cars would be fantastic but the //M at altitude might be disappointing since it is quite heavy. Somehow the 335i convertible with sports pack looks better for me than the M3 convertible.

It is a really really difficult choice now that I think about it, either way both will be super awesome :inlove:
