Need some advice
My wife drives a 2008 white BMW 135 (auto) with 39000kms
She is pregnant and due soon..We need a 4 door car
Not sure if i should buy the car from her or sell it
To extend motorplan is not an issue as cheap for time extension
I know the N54 are sought after and u hardly see people selling
What is a good price to sell for considering mileage, mint condition, no accidents, just fitted new tyres worth R16000

Any advice would be appreciated

Thanks

Keep it bud... If you do trade it in, you'll easily get R20k OVER book. That car is popular.

Good luck

Keep. Low ks...excellent.

Agree with pimpassdaddy...a trade in will give better value. But then wait for the new M3 :inlove:

Audi Q3 has a 9 month waiting period for a steptronic aaaiiii
So my wife will probably have to keep it for that long still
Hope the baby seat fits at the back

The book is quite shocking at around R210k. Retail around R240k. You'd be lucky with R275k even with current mileage. It's an '08, no getting around that. As others have said, keep it unless you really need the $$$ for other things.

You're looking at this the wrong way around. You should be looking for a new wife for the 135i, not a new car for the wife

Just kidding.

It's a PITA putting a baby seat in a 2 door car - been there, done that. Unfortunately, with the new 1 series out, you're gonna take a huge loss on the current one, but your mileage is low - consider selling it privately or via consignment (at a trusted dealer) and you should fetch a better price that way. Alternately, put it up on the forum

BTW, instead of the boring Q3, have you considered a BMW X3 or Land Rover Evoque.

Honestly, I have found putting a baby seat in the 135i coupe EASIER than the wife's 4 door. Because you push the seat forwards to clip it into the base, rather than having to swivel it in from the side. And once your lightie is bigger and they migrate to a larger seat (we have a Recaro) then it's a permanent fixture.
