Hi
I have been searching for a few months now for a z4M.

My question is this

There have been quite a few 2007 models with around 40-50K on the clock and have been priced at around R320K
I think thats a bit much

I think a fair price would be R300k

What do u think. Is that a bit high or should i offer less?

I am sure that there were 2 2008 models available recently for about R290k.
Check here and Gumtree: Cape Town.

I know of only one and that was for a 2008 with 68K
Also i am in Josie and that guy is in CPT

I was looking for about 6 months, but realised that I will be better off finding a 335i. I came accross 1 good example and by the time I enquired, it was sold:cry:

Everytime I see a Z4m Coupe, I still wonder if I should have tried harder

I have seen about 6 of these cars so far - 3 of them were very clean and i was ready to buy - Unfortunately, i was always second in line

The pricing on these cars are quite tricky, esp with the 07 models
U have to get it at the right price otherwise u can loose out very badly

Reason being - I have seen a few guys with 07 models with +65K on the clock - These are advertised for like R280K ( i am sure they don sell for this)

The guys with like 50K onthe clock sell for R320K
Doesnt make sense to buy for R320K cos if u drive the car for a year or 15K then u loose like R40K

Financially u better off in a 335i - I think

But i think that owning an M car is special
I am willing to wait for a Lekker one

But, back to the question - What should i offer for 07 with 50K on clock - R290K?? - I think its not too bad esp if it is a private sale

Anyine know what the avergae trade in for the 07 's are?

That's also a little high... I'd say R270k - R300k. Last year when I bought my 325, it was initially sold, so the Z4 M Coupe was plan B. Then the guy who wanted the 325i couldn't raise finance, so I bought the 325. I sometimes wish I shoulda bough the Z4, but reckon I'd be bored of the car quicker than the 325i. Also, this not having a sunroof was a major issue for me. Always wanted that M Motor.

how do you get bored? when you feel the boredom, you just rev to 8000rpm, problem solved

hahahaha... It would be the perfect car if I was buying it in addition to my 325i... I love the motor, but the 2 seat config is really impractical. Sure I have no kids, and I really never want anyone sitting in my back seats, but just the practicality. If it was a 3 series M... Then I woulda taken it hands down.

That motor is a marvel though!:inlove:

U want M - then you must pay the price, I always hear guys complaining that they get nothing for their cars when they try to sell but in the same breath complain that the prices are too high.:blab: Pay your moneys guys and keep these cars for the select few who can afford then, that way the value stays up.

These Z4 M's are rear guys and they are only for the select few as they are very individule cars and selfish if you wana call it that, but the drive is second to riding a superbike on your own.

Hey Bro

Couldn't agree with you more. I test drove an 09 Carerra S with performance exhaust just for fun.

Awesome feel to the car BUT I felt my Z4M was:
More rigid
Braked much better
Quicker in a straight line

Porsche handling was good but not all that great for al it's twice the price.
I suppose it could be the fact that the Carerra is entry level in the 911 range.

Oh and tone:
Stock Z4M vs Performance Porsche System.......
Z4 M wins hands down:joy:

Do you think we just BM biased? Lol.

Pricing on the Z4M and any M for that matter boils down to condition, mileage and comments.

It is not unusual for an M model to sell above retail if the above criteria are well met or exceeded.

What I have seen lately is that the prices of Z4M are stabilizing and in some cases increasing. I suppose it could be due to pricing of other M Models on offer that are in the same model and mileage bracket (ie 07 M3 with about 70 000km in excess of R450k. Yes the e92 is a totally different car but just comparing what's available in the used M stables)

2008 and 2009 Z4 Ms with under 50 000km should sell for between 330 and 380k which is slightly above trade.

I say 300k is a fair price for an 07 with good mileage and condition.

 I too took a few Porches and other cars out for test drives and could not find a drive that was comparable, all the others appear too clinical and dont have character that these machine have.

Only 2 others did it for me the Gt3 and the new GTR but they both out of my affordability.
