Hi guys,

My Lexus IS250 was severely damaged by the hail storm three weeks ago and has been written off. I’m considering buying a 2007 E90 330i manual Sportpack. The car still has a motorplan that can be extended due to the low mileage.

I was hoping that a few owners (and ex) could post a few comments about their car. E.g. reliability, real fuel consumptions figures, any known issues, etc.

Really appreciate the advice!!

I had mine for 2 years and picked up zero issues. Awesome bullet proof car. There some niggles like herr BMW mentioned, but nothing to hide under the table for.

The door actuators were also problematic.

i bought E90 330i manual a few months back, what a car! I believe the best all rounder Bmw has ever build, you have between 190-200kw (if 2007 model most likely to be 200kw) this gives you amazing acceleration, fuel consumption, city driving around 8km/l , open road upto 14km/l, on avg on the open road around 12.5 - 13km/l, without air-con and speedo on 120km/h you will get 14km/l, this is craze considering its a 200kw motor! The Run flats makes the ride a bit hard, the only 2 negatives would be 1. there is no spare wheel / space for spare wheel & 2. The electrical window buttons are frustrating, THIS CAR IS AWESOME! you wont make a mistake!!!!!!!

have a look at my 330i on youtube

the consumption was on 14l/100, don't worry to much as i was doing a few sprints on the day

just one else thing to look out for:

Bumping your knee into stuff cause you keep looking back with a smile at the car after parking it.

Maybe ask Leonardz to check out your IS250. He can fix most hail damage. It might not be a write of after all................on second thoughts,...If u getting a beemer then well call it a write off

I just bought a 2005 e90 330i Auto, loving every minute. Watch out for the minor issues mentioned above but it is a great car.

If the clutch feels iffy then get it replaced while on mpan.., make sure he flywheel is changed as well, but the clutch will last as long as the way you drive it..

Go for it and you will never look back..
