Good day all, I just recently joined the BMW group, I bought a 2005 545, was wondering if anyone would know where I could get a Navigation DVD for this model.

I know it sounds silly to have one when you could use your phone, but it is for my wife..

Some people tell me it can only be bought at BMW, is this true?

Thanks!

there are some guys that have the iso files for the latest nav, hopefully they see the thread and can assist.

Dont forget your thread in the intro section.

Just a question.... Please don't shoot me.

These similar requests (esp on navigation) were asked before by numerous fanatics.
I remember at some stage the reason behind this was to see if the intent of the fanatic was to be of a long nature and not just use the forum.
The common rule then was a minimum of 50 post.
The person in question has ONE post and he received the information.

Has there been a change in this thinking as I also requested information when I first started posting and I was told that I could only obtain that from BMW?????

I think it had to do with trolls registering only to get the download link. Since the link is visible without the need to register there is no need to apply the "minimum post" rule. I don't really care who downloads it either way :) Personally I am not a fan of "gating" information behind requirements etc. Only reason I deleted the files initially was because I got inundated with requests.

No stress dude

Tell me, I have a copied version of a "2012" professional navigation. I was assured by the guy that it is the 2012 version. is there anyway to check version data? The disc is a copied disc so that doesn't help me.

Thanks

Not really. You could maybe send me a screenshot of the content of the disk showing the file sizes then I can compare them, but other than that there isn't any surefire way to know.
