Had my sound expertly upgraded by Spiro. Fitted 6.75" Kenwood splits upfront and 6.5" Kenwood mods at the back.
A Pioneer TS 311 S4 12" free air was added all running through a 50w X 4 Targa amp.

All brought together with excellent staging and bass.

Must say the speakers have settled in nicely and the sound delivery in excellent. Right sound at the right volumes.

Will this type of enclosure only work on an air free sub?

I had a pioneer 12 1400w DVC in my E46 with a box from the flea market, but had to remove it in order to fit the babys pram

With this mod, Im sure I can still fit the pram into the boot

Yep, that's the end result. It is a free air setup. The boot serves as the box.
The best part is that boot space is not compromised with a box :chef:

i have some alternate pictures of similar installs for the door and rear shelf drivers

for Yuben's car, i made original template 6, 3/4 Baffles, mounted the speakers onto those, and then back onto the doorcard, as the original speak would fit, the rear shelf speakers where done in the same fashion, but placed in with Coax(2 or 3 way speakers) NOT DUAL CONE ( sorry for the caps )


all the original holes and mounts for the speakers where used
