2002 Aegean Blue 320i

This car belongs to DINODENASH on the forum, it is a recent purchase and he asked I go through it and let him know what needs replacement. Main reason for the visit is it was due for a service and the tappet cover was leaking.











Missing air temp sensor.




Mighty clean for 240 000km!


Tappet cover gasket was the original. 08/2001


New gasket and grommets.


Cleaned and re-installed.


Spark plug change out.






New air and oil filter.




Fuel filter was changed recently.


Owner supplied oil.




Front right tyre needs replacement, some brand I have never heard of.


Rear trailing arm bushes need replacement.


Diff bush is FUBAR!


Driver's sun visor is missing.

Hmm you can see that visor broke off there, with the angle almost looks like it was bent down and then snapped..

Replacing that differential bush is such a PITA. Have done two now on E46's and they are stubborn as can be! At least it immediately solves the "clunk" you get when changing gears. Good Luck!

Its my first BMW I have owned, and Im truly grateful and humble that it came into my life on the 30th March 2015.

Thoroughly enjoying it so far and my baby enjoys the extra space in the back which makes her happy too.:=):
(coming from a 2 door Opel Corsa which has been very faithful to us) (still around)

Since I have purchased it, I've spent many many hours detailing getting to the point where she is now.

Most importantly , I wanted to drop a note of appreciation for the exceptional service Gizmo has provided me.
I always followed your threads bud and was always blown away,.... even when I didn't own this car, I always told myself, .....one day when I do own one, I knew you would be the only person I would to take my car to.

I will continue to recommend you to all in my world.... for the fine craftsmanship, fair business practices and genuine kindness.
When you recommend something needs fixing, .......it's because it DOES, ......not because you "upselling" me.
It's so comforting to know that the value, quality, and honest service is there whenever I need it!

If there is one thing BMW does better than inline6's it's the shades of blue that have been offered, and that short burst of Individual colours from 01-05 had the best of the best.

Car looks good, hope it serves you well.

I picked up a individual black sun visor this morning.


Installed.




Passenger mirror cover as been poorly fitted.


Wiper clip is broken.


Fitted a second hand one until a new one is sourced.


Ran a diagnostics.


At some stage the thick M Sport steering wheel was swapped out for the thinner exclusive steering wheel. You can see tool marks on the trim where the "tool" tried to prise out the airbag...:thumbdo:
