2001 Z3 soft-top window

Hi all

My SO's father wants to replace the rear window of his Z3's soft-top.

It's the plastic type window. Dealers want around 4.5k for it.

Does anyone know where else this window can be sourced?

I did mine a few years back.

Got it online from Ebay. Was just over R1000 if I remember.

I fitted it myself and it was a SERIOUS mission.
Spent a whole evening doing it and my back did not forgive me the next day.

I had to to restart the fitment 3 times midway.
You have to get the alignment perfect, otherwise halfway you'll notice creases forming and the zipper gets stuck continually.

Did you ask by any chance what the cost is of replacing the entire soft top vs just the window?

The entire soft top from the dealers, if I remember correctly, is around 18k including fitment...

Hi I imported complete soft top and had it fitted by Johan or he can make the window and fit it for you as well. He' prices are very reasonable situated in PTA N and can be contacted @ 0823601425

I have a complete soft top which was in a perfect condition (car drove for just 69000km)

The frame, rear screen and canvas was perfect as far as I know, R8500.00
