So I got caught driving amongst the striking engineers/metal workers this week.
Scary as hell experience.
They leave me with a token of appreciation. (One of the strikers decides to hit the top of the M3 with his knobkerrie)
a2ynuga4.jpg

Took a lot not to get out the car and take on 300 plus strikers.

So off to dent doctor... Thankfully they were able to pull the dent.

Left it unpolished from them, as Bruce is still to do the polish and seal post spray and before protective wrap.

Man I was livered..... 😈

Your M5! :inlove::inlove::inlove::inlove:

That deserves a thread all on its own! :praise::praise:

Thanks RAA

Think I'm going to keep it all in this thread though. Makes life easier.
Saying that.
Does anyone know how I can add the M5 to the topic of the thread ?

Bianco Avus is at the very least magnificently virginal

Now I'm impressed Peter,
Bianca Avus spot on. Most people say white, and mostly off white to cream lol.

i would be worried about taking the throttles apart for fear that they somehow come loose and get eaten by the engine :yuck:

Great work polished inside and out

If this was a direct injection engine, then sure, but on a normal port injection engine one makes it less efficient by polishing the intake ports.

It looks all nice and shiny, but it will actually be slightly worse.

All this effort in the exhaust ports would have yielded much better results
:sorry:

Bruce and some other mechanic were actually discussing it, so you could be right, I do know that there are certain areas you do not polish as you want turbulence/friction (can't remember exactly what they were saying)
Either way. I'm chuffed with progress

Agree with Chris on the inlet being rough and exhaust smooth.

All the same it is pretty.

Nice pic of the pizza van :)

Not sure of the beetle though.........although an accomplished sports car by all accounts it is time for them to hire some designers.
