I had 2 topup my oil after 7000km .. and now again after another 3000 .. this is weird ..

If your car hasn't gone in for its 1st service then BMW tops it up for FREE!!!
My oil light came on in last week & i took her into my dealer & they filled her up.I needed 1L .

Yup, it's possible, for around R35k... did the conversion recently for a member of this board.

My 330i is going to need a top-up in a month or so I reckon - currently sitting on quarter remaining on the electronic dip-stick. What oil do the agents use? On the last top-up (first since I've had the car) they sold me some specific Engen oil rather than Castrol or so... I don't like the idea of mixing oils, so actually keen to do a "half-way" oil change since my next service is being shown as only begining of next year - don't do high mileage per year, so would prefer to change oil at least once a year regardless of mileage... And this counts for the E46 too which I actually want to tackle next month! :)

What does it all involve? Does it work exactly as the factory fitted or are there any limitations - auto-leveling etc??

MSM believe it! my first mini i owned never had the oem xenon headlight system and BMW quoted me 20 something thousand for the parts and to fit. Oh btw that was like in 2006 :bangdesk: so for the 135i the price should be more.

The only issue, which is a temporary issue until BMW post a proper bulletin covering the retrofit, is that the "eyelashes" of the new xenon headlights won't work unless the headlights are on. They won't come on if you just have your parklights on, for instance. Otherwise, all other features are fully functional.

It involves custom wiring, fitting the new footwell module to control the xenons, and programming of that footwell module.

With "eyelashes", do you mean the angel eyes (day running lights)? My existing lights are fine, but Xenons are... :inlove:

That line that runs above the headlights in that white strip. The angel eyes work perfectly.

Oh okay, that's on the facelift only or also for the pre-facelift which I have? Rather pricey though, but I gather that's for the headlamp units themselves, and not so much the wiring and other mods?? The fact that it's possible to retrofit and work correctly makes me now keen to think about doing this!!

For that price, you can have laser eye correction surgery to improve your vision instead of xenons :fencelook:

Any 1-series headlight can fit on any other 1-series. That's a pic of the new facelift. The headlights take up a massive chunk of that, but there's 3 or 4k of labour in there as well.

Okay, well of course in my case it's for the E90, but I reckon the same applies...
