1st time Bimmer Buyer

Good day Fanatics!

l am looking at buying a 2014 328i M Sport. It has done 109000KM and was wondering do you have any advice on them; any electronic or mechanical issues at high mileage? I am skeptical on the high mileage. l went to test drive it on the weekend at the dealership and it had no issues other than just a small unnoticeable dent on the passenger door. Other than that, 
I am in love with car!  :smilebounce:

Congrats on a good car,they are very underrated.

The N20 motors have been plagued with timing chain issues,but the revised (2014 and on) motors have had less issues from what I can see.

Have a look at a 330i from 2015 on wards perhaps.

I have a 2013 model with 145000kms. I have not experienced any major mechanical issues with the car.
Maintenance and service has cost me  about R30k from 100000kms.

@"yush1" Thanks l have been advised to search for 330i models upwards, l found 2 335i models but they are way out of my budget

@"lemax007" Thanks and well noted. I will go for it, been researching about the timing chain issues associated with the N20 engines. Did you perhaps have to replace your timing chain?

I am still on the the original timing chain and guides.  Not replaced as yet.

do you have the motorplan report on the car, has their been any big ticket items done to the car ? check to see if there were any high value or more importantly, repetitive items that were looked at on the car while under motorplan.

@"NBN" I viewed the Dekra roadworthy report and it found no faults on the car because they also inspect the engine. But l have requested for the motorplan/service records from the dealership and they said they will show me when l go view it again this weekend.
