1st BMW diesel purchase

Hi guys.

This is my first post on the forum, as I am quite new to the BMW game. I am looking at purchasing either a 2014-2015 X3 2.0d/ 3.0d/ 120d/ 320d/330d, in 2-3 months time. My budget will be between R250-R400k. Question is, "how reliable are they, and what are the servicing cost? Will probably be looking at vehicles with between 80 000- 120 000kms on the clock.

Welcome mate. Plenty of advise on all options, just hit the search button and you're sorted. But can't go wrong with any of those, as long as service history is up-to-date. Good luck with the purchase

Hallo and welcome to the forum. Most of the diesels is quite reliable on this side of the stable. Maintanence and services just need to be up to date. Service intervals at agents is not that costly compared to other brands.

Thanks guys. I have done some research on servicing costs, and it seems reasonable. I will take out an extended warranty on whichever vehicle I choose. One question, what are the prices of shocks on an X3?
