1M vs M2

I think the first twin-scroll turbo M was the 2010 E71 X6M with the S63B4400 engine, which was also used in the E70 X5M and an updated S63B44T0 version for the F10 M5.

That's only if you going to disregard the 2002tii turbo as being an //M car, which is kinda hard since it had M colours back to front :rollsmile:

We know it was bmws first production turbo car

I'm fairly sure the F8x is the first (twin) turbo M3 (and M4) version.
The original E30 M3 road car had a 2.3l naturally aspirated S14 engine.
