Please keep us updated. We will have a few more customers this coming week experimenting with the G5 as well.

Install once I understood what the reference to sequence of numbers meant was very simple and very neat.

Wagon pulls stronger with lower octane fuel we have in the tank than normal, turbos spool up quicker and hold boost much better now. Motor feels like it is now always 100% ready to go as if it is just waiting to be thrashed. Very sensitive throttle response but not over sensitive.

Launch control sounds awesome but I'm not getting it right and flat foot shifting as well is not working but will send logs to have it checked out ASAP.

BMW Car Club Gauteng Excede at KAR dyno day was awesome and my wagon took 1st Place out of all the 135i and 335i.

385Hp and 734nm with no meth as i never activated it:thumbs:

Still can get more out since i only adapted 5min before run and that G5 board needs alot more settings inputed than G4. So will keep posted on future figures when i get these setting spot on.

Cool thanks guys was a awesome day and the nice thing about the software I'm running is that it works all the time and no need for special tunes and tricks to do a run!!!!!

Oh and this run was done on race gas unlike some of the higher boosting cars running on pump..........

JB4 for the WIN!!!!

Hey Ed, congrats on your power. Spectacularly good result there, well done. I agree 100% with the above statement. Always best to have a tuner than loads a map & you can drive it to work & back for years & go to the circuit or drags & run a record time with the map you drive to work with. I think all enthusiasts enjoy that.

Also good to run race gas on the N54. I have owned one & been playing with it since 2006. OCtane makes tremendous amounts of power & I have personally seen racefuel been poured in on the dyno & the power go up immediately. So you spot on racefuel is required for high boosting cars. And boost makes torque. Easy way to tell on the N54 is every 0.1bar makes between 30-35NM more, all else being equal. The if one makes say 100NM more after tuning, then one's boost increase is roughly 0.3 bar. Boost makes torque, that's what makes the world go round.

Agreed Sherwin but I'm not tuning my wagon, this is a universal global N54 tune, now I need to customize the various maps and figure out what works for my wagon keeping in mind more boost makes more latent heat and on the track this is a issue! So I choose a low boost map to ensure overall average good lap times since I don't do drags at all with ADF Motorsport doing track setup.

YEah that's a good approach. The more power you can make with least amount of boost will always be better for heats soak & timing pull during sustained full load runs. Sustained high load with high boost creates a dramatic rise in IAT's & a lot of timing pull. Water meth helps a lot for those applications.

im very interested in how much the W/M decreases oil temps :) what kind of ratios will you run on it?

Hi there, the water meth sprays a fine mist of water/meth that atmoises in the pipe just before the throttle body. Hence it cools the charged, compressed hot air before entering the engine. IT doesn't really have an impact on oil temp. You need a bigger oil cooler for that.

Sherwin i agree it will not have as much effect as an oil cooler but depending on how much water you running in there im sure it will have some effect on oil temp im just wondering how much :)

reducing cly temps has to have an effect on oil temp? unless you using the temperature reduction to produce more power bringing temps back up again...

Yes you are correct, reducing in-cylnder temps should have a small effect on oil temp. But that's maybe if you running 100% water. Running water loses power on the N54. So almost everyone that run it, runs a meth mix. Meth adds a whole heap of octane, the timing advances & you make more power. And so the nett effect is the oil temp doesn't really change. I wouldn't be surprised if it actually went up a shade.

do those that run water only reduce flow at the same time? because water is more dense than meth so less should be injected when running more water...

i would be very interested in what kind of tests you have done if you willing to share :)

Buddy wm has nothing to do with oil temps!
wm cools your intake temp and thats all meaning you can play with timing and iat's are almost halfed???

Google Water Meth Dude.
