1M Down Pipes

So with me searching the world wide web about 1M oil consumption and run in times and and and, I came across this very interesting fact. The primary cats in the down pipes are different from any other N54 and they are able to deliver much better flow than the other N54 down pipes.
Realoem confirms different part numbers as well.

So it is the mid section cats that needs to be removed on the 1M and not the primary cats in the down pipe. This must be the reason so many people use the N55 mid section. The N55 mid section has no cats. So in essence, if you fit the N55 mid section to a 1M, you should unleash some additional horses and if you add S/W like that from ACS, even more. :thinking: And you will still have M/P. :thinking:

Yes, that true Morne I do have an N55. I'm pretty sure you have facelift tail lights.

:idea: The tail lights cost the same as the N55 mid section. :fencelook:
Use it, or don't use it. :)

will MP be happy even though you patching different bmw parts onto your car that have not been tested together by BMW?

if they are the 1m down pipes would be a MP safe upgrade for other n54...

Sean, BMW will not even notice if you fit 1M down pipes to a 135i, but take a guess what 1M down pipes cost. :dropjaw:
It's not worth the money.
