Wow, just got home from collecting the car. I can't explain what good condition the car is in.
I remember seeing the e39 at the bmw pavilion in 96 and lusting after it as a 16 year old.
Now 18 years later, I have one and I swear it's like brand new. So stoked

Is it the M52B28 or M52B28tu? Either way they are great engines. Not much power at high RPM but it makes such a lovely noise. raise:

yeah the m5 as a daily is probably not a good idea..
the 528i.. now thats will work nicely. my previous e39 525i (similiar power as 528) served me good for 4yrs and +-85000km.... and she was driven HARD and throttled/strangled/excercised DAILY. strong cars

I have the Z4m for my thrills. This car is all about freeway cruising and chilling, and it does the job so well.
That said I got from noordhoek to the airport this morning in 19 minutes
