Sweet, deal has been made on some rare "old school" 17 inch rims and tyres, no they are not 32's or 29's or OEM for that matter...guess you will have to wait and see...:fencelook:

This is so not nice !! Why must we be kept in suspence

Gonna be good!!! Cannot wait... Let's see what happens when they fitted.

Roof racks have been acquired. Picked them up today. OEM and for the E36. No more lugging the gazebo on the front seat.

Got me a set of OEM roofrack for the E36:

Will clean em up and test fit on Friday.

I usually carry the BMWFanatics Gazebo on the front seat as its too long for the boot or back seat, the roof-racks will be handy in this case.

Also secured some old school wheels which i think are well suited to the E36. More on that over the weekend.

Im going on holiday for week from Saturday, so i will leave the car with Gizmo to install the E46 330i front brakes and service the car. He will also give the car a go through and list whats required to make sure it is 100% mechanical before i begin any unnecessary modding.

Test fitted the roof racks! I like them, of course they will be used purposefully!

Arbee dropped the car off on Saturday, put it up on the lift yesterday to see what's what.

Side repeaters are wrong way round.

Arbee fitted them the wrong way round, they are angled to follow the roof line.

New headlights will be needed.

RHS Hi-beam cover missing. Cable ties holding the thermostat switch plug in place.

New radiator fan shroud is needed.

LHS Low-beam cover missing.

Bonnet insulation in a bad shape, rats had a go at it too.

Long section of driver's door rubber has been cut out for some strange reason...

Mostly dead pixels.

Service indicator has been reset recently.

Needs new tyres, also the bump stops and dust caps from the rear shocks are missing.

Diff has a major leak that dirt has temporarily sealed.

Gearbox oil pan is oily.

RHS brake duct and pork chop cover missing.

Sump gasket is leaking.

Major leak at the back of the motor.

Sump guard off for a better look.

Garage floor from overnight.

Judging by the hoses, the fuel filter hasn't been changed in a long time.

Transmission tunnel insulation is collapsing onto the propshaft.

FCABs have been changed out fairly recently.

Thats all for now, parts are being ordered, gotta get back onto the Z3M now.:=):

Nice Job Gizmo.... :praise:

Well done to the both of you for bringing her back to life.
She can now get the attention she needs.

Is that the wrong fuel filter? Probably why the hoses looks like it was extended?

You are correct Karsh, there are two types for the E36, a long one and a short one, this model is supposed to have the long one. A previous owner/mechanic fitted the cheaper short one and extended the pipes.

That's it? Wow, I expected a lot more! On the road to recovery, over the next month or 2 that list should be depleted.

We are lucky to have people like Gizmo around, apart from being helpful, the knowledge and info sharing ability is amazing. Big ups!!

I miss the car, cannot wait to drive it again on Saturday.
