I noticed this a few years ago, so please do not ask to much detail?
There is no engine management light in my car. Took the cluster out to look for a missing or blown globe, could not find anything that make sense.
When I disconnect important sensors with the engine running nothing lights up on the instrument cluster or OBC.
Is there other E36's who can confirm. Please include year model.
I suspect its a 1995 thing - first 328's
Also Tried to start the car once with out the key reader to see if it works - car does not start and no EMS light either.
I used to have a Opel 200is and if you try to start that with out a chipped key the EMS light would flash.
