Good Day Members .
a little showoff thread of my new Queen .
1969 BMW 1800 Neue Klasse
very little info available about this car locally , and very very few people with actual knowledge of it .
if anyone has come across one or worked o one of these please message me to chat , i just want to know some more about it . and also advise on future upgrades .

Car is a Runner and drives well .
Pics to follow ,
updates and work done so far ,

Redone front grills in Black to compliment the roof , replaced rear Boot badge
remove front bumper bumpers (if that makes sense ) it was looking to rally like for me .

When i got it .

Planning a suspension Upgrade , possibly coilovers to bring it slightly lower with a wheel change , something classic .

no idea where to get suspension done , and the wheel specs for this is very hard to come by .
so please hit me with recommendations .

Nice ride! I see an E36 lurking there

Yeah man.
That’s my other baby.

Update , test fitting with 15" 8.0j ET25 wheels ,
cannot figure out the correct offset i should be using ,
fronts touch the strut so will have to relook at the fitment .
also planning a suspension upgrade (coilovers maybe), which is also a mission to source unless i attempt an e30 suspension swap
but progress will be made 🤞

thinking a 16" wheel would do the car justice , 17" is just too big . thoughts?

Not much to report.
Not happy with the wheels so still on the hunt for the right wheel
With a touch of “old skool / classic / clean “

Picked up this 16” modified BBS MAHLE wheels. Which doesn’t fit as it is. Meaning I will need to remodify them.

Like the look. Not sure if it’s worth modifying though.
Still searching for a suitable suggestion on lowering the car. Just slightly.

Nice car bud, something different. Not sure how these cars suspension works, but maybe not an option to get someone to compress your standard springs? Its probably a bit ghetto and not sure what it would do to your ride, but that should be a cheap n quick way of doing it.

Wheels wise, I would probably go for the early open-lug Alpina style wheels? Think these came on the E12s etc? Or how about a set of E30 steelies? Period correct would be something like a BBS-Mahle
