Find myself in the situation of choosing between 2 awesome cars.

Both 2010 DCT models.

First option has msport, xenon, roof, harman kardon, bluetooth, pdc front & rear, 60,000km, plan to July 2015.

Second option has msport, xenon, roof, professional navigation, hdd, harman kardon, bluetooth, voice control, pdc rear, 75,000km, plan to November 2015.

Second option about 10k more. Both have no comments.

I will probably be doing about 12-15k km per year.

Which one would you go for?

may i ask how much?

you do realise that next year you are going to have the dilemma of motorplan extension.

out of the 2 you have listed, the first one looks the better option

pricing seems ok.

test drive both and see which one feels better?

how many owners on each one.

condition of each one

how negotiable is each offer?

from the facts and figures you gave, i would take option 1. MP extension on time only wont be too expensive.

Hi.

I would go for 2nd option because it has more the R10k of extra extras
you only have just under 1.5 yrs on 1 & just under 2 yrs on 2, so time wise also option 2
Mileage won't make difference as the time period will expire 1st. As per your mileage covered.

Have you negotiated? If you can get an extra R5 or R10k off option 2 then that's my choice.

But saying that are they both the same colour? Which colour do you prefer? Have you driven both? Take that into account. My 2c

Is there a big difference? On time vs mileage? I've never kept a car long enough to find out.
Can he get a quote already to compare?
Would be interesting!

Both white which is first preference. Both driven, feel pretty much the same

Option 1 is cleaner, 70% tires all round, no curb rash on wheels, interior spotless, a mates car.

Option 2 comes with new rear tires, curb rash on all wheels, front bumper needs a respray for stone chips and poor touch ups, interior clean, dealer stock.

Head says option 1, but the idrive with nav option is an awesome toy.

Prices are firm.

Knowing how the car has been driven and looked after also helps.
Looks like option 1 you will be better as there is less to sort.

Regarding SatNav, personally I prefer my TopGear Tom Tom, my Prado has NAV as Standard & I hate it, it's a mission to load an address, and move a little it locks up everything. Tom Tom Live is great get told if there are delays etc & I get Jeremy Clarkson to guide me with quirky chirps. I don't have NAV in the BM.

The keyword there is "toy"

You'll soon get bored of it and Garmin/TomTom/Google Map nav is still far superior. If Option 1 didn't have the upgraded sound spec'ed I'd say Option 2 would make a bit more sense (since iDrive is never combined with base spec sound).

From your description option 1 seems to be better looked after and in better condition, price is lower and less km. Yes option 2 has extras but ask yourself how often are you going to use those extras and when you trade that extras wont be worth a cent. I say option 1.
Good luck with your choices.

Option 1 would be my choice since the extras, condition and higher mileage don't justify the premium.

you cannot extend by time only once the vehicle is over 80k kms.

Just my opinion, but i feel that the idrive and navigation will look dated a lot sooner than one without. The colour screens and software change so frequently that you notice how slow and old it looks. I feel the monochrome displays always look the same so just feel like its part of the car.

True, the Pro System does however have a bigger 8.8" screen and can be split screen (Music/Maps, etc). Pretty fast from playing around with it.
