What do you guys think about black wheels??Im not really a huge fan, it works on certain cars tho!

Yes or no???

I prefer the anthracite/grey look:

Can anyone tell me what make/model these wheels are??

And what kinds are these??they seem to be the same as the ones on the X6 above

The wheels on Tcal's yellow M3 are HRE, and X6 are vorsteiner (if I'm not mistaken).

Have a look at vmr v710. It comes in the correct width and offset for the e82.
Gunmetal will look good.

:roflol: haha yeah I can't wait for it!!i would do it this today, but all I've got is No More Nails double sided tape!!!

What do you guys think?!?should I just stick it on and take the risk of it flying off??or should I go hunting for this elusive 3M VBH double sided tape??

The place I bought it from says I should stick it on with something called Sicca-flex silicone!it's like a glue!!??

Anyone got any experience with this stuff??

Any advice??

I feel safer going with tape, but who knows:fencelook:

Howsit mate.

Firstly congrats on the car really is coming on nicely.
I have the bmw carbon fibre boot spoiler on my 1m coupe and my dealership used the sicca to fit it rather dont take chances. Here is a pic.

Have a kiff one.

Coming along nicely!

I was going to use Sicca-flex to attach mine, but knowing the stuff it's pretty much impossible to remove if you'd like to take the spoiler off before selling the car. I went for 3M Very High Bond (VHB) tape and it works great.

Thanks man!!

You dont wanna know!Suuuucccch a schlepp!!I tried rolling it off with my fingers and got a few FAT blisters!!!
No alcohol, warm water soap or whatever I tried helped with the removal, so I simply used elbow grease!!!

Dude, you wont believe how I messed up while installing!I cleaned the surface before installation with pure alcohol, rubbing it clean with a microfibre cloth, to assure it gets good adheshion, as I recently waxed the car.But afterward when i put the cloth down on the surface of the boot to do the install the alcohol must have soaked through the cloth and the cloth coloring came off and stained my paint:cry::cry::cry:
Now theres this ridiculous neon green/yellow stain on my paint about 5cm x 5cm big!!!Im super pissed off!!!it hurts when I see it!!:nonono:

I tried getting it off with Meguires Ultimate ploish but it didnt help any...afteward i used some cottonwool and more alcohol(seeing as that's what got it on there in the first place) and it took some of it off.But its still slightly visible:cry::cry::cry:

Ok you win. I thought I had hassles with it just having to remove the gunk (which I got annoyed with and did slowly over the course of 2 days since I started late on a week night) and sticking it wrong the first time and having to remove/reapply the 3M, but you've taken the cake, lol.

Megs is probably a bit too tame to get that sort of thing off. A session with a proper dual action polisher with the right pad/product will probably remove it, but if the damage is deep enough into the clear coat you'll need an experienced hand with wet sanding abilities. Just ask anyone who has spilled NF Ultra on their paint :nonono:
