Hi guys was wondering if someone could maybe help me, iv got a 135i, and I'm looking for some carbon fiber parts (mainly a roof spoiler), but can't find any local companies that make one. I know of a guy that's willing to make one but it's way over priced!! Does anyone know where I could get one!!

If you find out let me know please :) Thanks

EDIT: Roof spoiler or trunk spoiler? I'm looking for a non-ridiculously priced trunk spoiler like the performance one. Don't even necessarily want it in carbon, black would be fine but cant find em

You can get most interior and exterior carbon bits from your local BMW dealer.

The carbon roof spoiler you can explore with Rennzport which we have to import, if you want to go the import route...PM Revo@Rennzport . Just remember that carbon pieces are generally very expensive until the market becomes saturated which is unlikely at this stage. Since you can get the part from a local guy drop me a PM and we will happily advise you if the price point is acceptable. You will have to vouch for the quality but i can give you some tips to look out for such as the weave & a high strength adhesive.

I knowThere is a carbon boot spoiler available from big boss auto, or they source it from someone for about 3k...

The local guy I can get it made from specializes in composite materials for aircraft, his done a couple of parts for me before , so I know his work is good but, he says to make it from scratch will cost around 8k, what he did say though was that if I can get him one that he can make a mold from he'll be able to make it for much cheaper!! My only thoughts on that is to get a 3series plastic one and let him work from that!!

If you can get a carbon roof spoiler for R3000 locally then it is a good buy. To have it manufactured and imported may cost same and the long wait for it.

Explore the local guy. Most of the performance parts that are imported can be manufactured locally at a highly reduced cost. For example there are very good catless Down Pipes available locally for the 335/135 yet people still prefer to import them even it it is made of the same materials:dunno: You are right if you can get a template of the spoiler it will be easier to replicate....this i dont have unfortunately but will be on the look out.

Sorry i'm ment to say I can get a boot spoiler for about 3k, the roof spoiler on the other hand I can't get for that price!! I know autostyle has a plastic roof spoiler for R900 but it for the 3series, so considering getting that so the guy can modify it and make a templet from it!! Still waiting for him to come back with a price on going that root!!

Howsit guys

The 2008-2011 135i coupes did not come with the boot spoiler but the 2012-2013 135is came with them.

The bootlids are also different between 08-11 ones and the 12-13 ones, the 08-11ones do not have a spoiler and curve upwards more whereas the 12-13 ones have a spoiler and the boot does not curve upwards.

Can anybody tell me if I take the stock spoiler off a 2013 135i and replace it with an aftermarket 2011 135i carbon spoiler, will it fit correctly?
