yes it is,
the car did not have problems running infront of modded m3,s before the upgrade was done
for some reason the car was not performing well at all last night and i had to go home with my tail between my legs:argh:
but we will be working things out over the next few days and hopefully have the car ready for matuba on the 26th

Zain must stop running the V8 Ms they way too fast...:=):
We assisting zain to trouble shoot the reason for the limp mode on take-off. The most plausible reason was the car had too little fuel in the tank...he was running on empty to keep the weight down...very silly thing to do Zain.
Anyway, you should be ready for Matuba.

Can't see the vid, just wanted to know if the M3 is a white 4 door?
if im not mistaken it was a 2 door n yes white
@dmonic the guy did not have exhaust,car sounded like a stock v8 so im guessing he had software at most,and judging from the poor power delivery i was getting from my car on the night and him just getting half a car infront after my car holding back in 3rd gear (probly due to the 5 litres of fuel in the tank) i would have to assume its a software only v8 maybe even stock
but hay if the guy thinks my car was at its prime on the night n he ran infront ,atleast i could contribute a little joy to his life:thumbs:
on a side note a ran a skyline gtr 2 weeks back off the line he gets 1.5 cars infront n stays all the way till 260km
2nd gear roll i get infront n he taps of n tels me his car is stock so its too flat to go from 2nd gear roll:blab:
so looks like durban got a slightly modded v8 m3 that will run infront of GTR

You win some you lose some. Your car is now a bigger sleeper than before as everyone is going to underestimate it due to the one bad run you had.
Some people are going to get a nasty surprise when the car is ready.
I am sure you are going to enjoy your next runs. If you are running with a GTR, you have a monster on your hands.

The car put down the same dyno numbers in Durban with a little more Tq and no meth.
At matuba last Sunday, the car really struggled and its best run was 12.8
We hoping Zain will practise more and learn to get the power to the road. We have plenty of datalogging and fine tuning to do to get the car perfect for the dragstrip.
It was not so much the drivers launch technique; it was more the power settings we chose which did not come together.
Anyway, it can only get better. :thumbs:
