Howzit guys.
I have a 2005 120i. My problems I've been having is that it jerks when I take off and starts hard, specially now. Now there is steam coming from the exhaust. I've noticed that when it takes forever to start then the water is low so after I put some antifreeze or water then it starts okay. When I parked I noticed the steam. What could be the problem?

Blown headgasket or cracked cylinder head. Coolant is making its way into the combustion chamber and turning to steam in the exhaust.

Start by having a compression test done.

Apologize for not replying with gratitude. Thanks for your help. I looked at the oil cap and noted the sludge of oil and water and I think that confirms what you've said. I'm not sure, I hope that the head did not crack. I now have to take it to the Mac for full analyses...

are you sure its steam and not smoke?
while idling let someone rev it for you and stand behind to be sure.
