120d remapping

I have been considering remapping my 2005 e87 120d. I have read through a bunch of the posts, but not sure if it will be worth it. It has standard performance so initialy it had 115kw/330nm. Sure it is less now so want to find out what a reasonable gain could be and then how much it all costs.

Thanks. I did have a look. Looks I am going to Promotec if I am doing it. Will a software update and downpipe influence my insurance or not a problem?

Great car. You do need to spec it correctly though because stock is quite bare. Low down there is a lack of torque hence the reason that I am looking at a performance upgrade. What year are you looking at, as I know the performance and fuel consumption from 2007 is significantly better.

I had an issue with my insurance recently as someone brought it to their attention that the car was modified :nonono:

Read your insurance policy throughly, most of them have a clause strictly against modifications

Just sharing my experience with you

Will do. Just want to make sure that it is classified as a mod for insurance before they raise my premium by an insane amount... Thanks for all the help.
