hey fanatics!

I could be....possibly.....selling a e36 328i and buying a 2006/7 120d hatch.

What are 'issues' I could possibly be facing?
Also, when it comes to servicing.....I am totally dumb when it comes to what is involved with a diesel engine.

Could someone provide a list of pros and cons related to these diesel cars?
I assume servicing would cost the same as petrol cars?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks all!

Howzit bud.
Just make sure you get the history of the vehicle and check for any major problems. I am no expert but I got my car a yr now and had no problems.
You will really enjoy the it. Service is not expensive at all.

Good luck and post pics once you take delivery

Has the 130 arrived yet?

No:cry:

I am struggling to get my hands on one.

Ready to buy with a 40k deposit and total budget of 150k.
I think thats a fair price....or am I way off the mark?

If I cant get one...other options are:

330i/d
325i
323i

but....130i haunts my dreams.

You should try and source one with an efficient dynamic motor. I believe they were started from 2009 upwards. These diesels in the the BMW range gave better economy .Also, diesels are strong engines and my van has 320k on the clock with very little maintenance required. Lastly, don't misfuel- putting petrol into a diesel car. Not a major issue really, just remove all petrol from fuel lines and tank and it'll work fine... May cost you though so be alert when at the pumps

Won't an efficient dynamics model be out of his price range? Especially as it's 2009 onwards.
