Today was the Sport Compact 3 event at Tarlton. After fitting the methanol injection I knew I would beat my 12.5 time set at ODI. When I went to the track my intention was to try get a 12.4. The weather conditions where not so great with a head wind again and scorching heat but this worked in my favor traction wise.
First run I always do a bit of a feeler so I ran a 13.0 with a 186 exit. Car felt excellent. Second run was a 12.5 with quite a shitty launch. Next run I managed to pull it perfectly under the conditions and ran the new record setting 12.37@185. I did some minor adjustment with the methanol on that run just to get it to flow a bit sooner to combat the heat and it worked out perfectly.
I then parked the car for the day. People thought I was mad cause they where offering me there race seats etc to lighten the car and run a better time but that has never been my intention with the car.

I would like to thank Chip Logic for all the work they have done on my car. I would also like to thank my hair stylist, gynocologist, bar man and whoever else I have forgotten. :excited:

Im speechless dude!

Times says it all. Well done mate that 335 of yours deserves it.

Could you tell me what methanol injection system are you using?

Hi Avi,

I use a system from Labonte Motorsport. I chose that one because the way the wiring is its easier to remove from the car as I am not planning to run the meth full time. They also the only company that has a controller that you can map the methanol flow in 3D. I do not have this controller but wanted to know the product I got could be very advanced with add on's.

Are you running a LSD and if so what make?

After George ran a Quaife diff for a while we upgraded the diff and driveshafts to E90 M3 units. The jury is still out if the Motorsport diff performs better than the Quaife but part of the reason of change was the need to increase the strength of the driveshafts for long term reliability.

I bought this kit
http://www.labontemotorsports.com/store/ccp0-prodshow/ISG-100.html
and added the meth failsafe
http://www.labontemotorsports.com/store/ccp0-prodshow/VC-IFS-10.html

Most the kits use the same meth pump which is the most important part of the kit. The ancillaries all function more or less the same so its just a matter of personal preference. Vishnu Tuning have a identical kit that also comes with a complete parcel shelf for the E90 and E92 with all the components and tank pre installed but it does come at a price.

FRC HFS-2 system also allows mapping of the methanol flow in 3D automatically by tracking the Injector Duty Cycle thus maintaining the correct water(meth) to fuel ratio always ;)

HFS-3 is the way to go with Aquamist due to the failsafe facility. I think thats the one you meant?
