Seriously awesome stuff man, world class build. Impressed also that the stock bottom end looked so good. Proud to be an AMG owner at this point.:joy:

Have you got to run-in phase as yet?

I have seen that okes overseas have run 6.5s passes on the 1/8th with similar setups. Should make for 9s 1/4 mile passes.

Also watching the World Motorsports build to see how that goes along.

The motor is still out of the car waiting for the charger system to come out of customs. Flywheel bolts where on back order from Merc so caused me some delay as well as loosing one of the 20 main bolts hehe. I will populate the thread with a update once the vehicle is started. In the time being we are doing measurements a test fitting a better water cooling system as well as a additional oil cooler which will go on later.

Mr Smooth,

I have been following this build with interest.

After spending some time driving a previous generation AMG for a few months now, i have come to the following conclusions:

1) You are a mad man:rollsmile:

2) You are also a genius:praise:

I cant wait to see/hear this monster in the flesh once its completed..

And good luck with the rest of the build:thumbs:

Good on you man, cooling those oil temps as well as water temps should definitely be looked at in detail after seeing the oil temps my stock one goes up to:nonono:. Another concern might be the oil temps on the Gearbox and diff with that sort of power but I'm sure you guys are on top of that. In the RB26 GTR world those were the some of the main areas of concern.

Haven't updated the site for a while and didn't do much work after initial assembly started. We ran into a slight problem when fitting the pistons. Two of the wrist pins would not spin in the piston. Initially we thought that the two piston boss's where not aligned properly and this sent us on a wild goose chase. Long story short the problem got solved by polishing the tight piston boss and things where to our satisfaction. Silly season came for my business and the project was put on pause. I took the office time to order the drag wheel setup as well as the coilovers which feature electronic dampening controlled with a iphone. So I also now have a Iphone.
We started cleaning all the parts again last week and got the components ready for assembly. Cleaning is the most important part in my opinion and many a days where spent.
Things thus far have gone smoothly and we are at the point of putting the heads on tonight.
Spraying the block with special cleaning muti. Strangely they call it the pakistani mix.
