There is a guy at The Rock raceway that has been doing this for quiet some time now.

i know of getting out of the one car and standing and watching it yes thats been going on for years.
A crazy dude from soweto started it here drove a red E30 cabrio and used a alternator to keep the accelerator down at the time. since then the boys and adjusted and made things easier for themselves. this happened when they used shareworld as a spinning arena

but i have never seen this before
