'06 M5 with Bearing Knock - is it worth it?

The ///M V8's (E90/2/3 M3) and V10's (E63/4 M6 & E60 M5) are known for running bearings, could happen at anytime without warning, from 50k km to 150k km. Just depends on how the prev owner drove the car.

The vehicle looks to be in good condition. Contact Tune Tech and they'll give you an idea of what it'll cost to rebuild it top to bottom. Should be around the 170k mark, BMW will charge 200k and above depending on whether the block can be saved. So for around 270k you'll have a good M5.

OR

Buy one that is running well with low kms. Should be around 250k for a good one or probably even less? and do the bearings as soon as you get it - this will be around the 25k mark.
