Pixels Finally Repaired.

So I got frustrated with all my dead pixels. Got so bad, my dash and radio displays were of almost no use.

Ordered the bits from the intawebs. Cost around R675 per unit, including courier costs. While at it, I added the face-lift Chrome Rings for a better look, they were another R430.

Took me about an hour per unit, including removal and refitting. Piss easy. :cartel:

Thanks - on a side note, how the hell do you manage to average 330 posts a month? That is 11 posts per day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year?? raise:

used to post alot more than I currently do just dont have time

many of the pixels on my tape deck dont work anymore but I dont use it so cant be bothered if it was my cluster then it would be a big problem

did not know there were kits for this im glad there are though :rollsmile:

AFAIK that is just for test purposes to see if all pixels are indeed working. Should disappear once you exit the test procedure.

Old thread revival.

Hi Gents.

Anywhere I can repair the dead pixels on my E39 cluster and high OBC. I want to get this done after lockdown. Willing to travel to get this sorted.

I have heard of Combined Electronics doing this in Cape Town. There have been mixed reviews about their service so any personal experiences will be appreciated.

Any help will be highly appreciated.
