I am new to this forum but earlier today I posted about my present ride my sexy Silver 740i which I am sad to be parting with.
But If I am honest I have one conciliation and that is I still have my childhood dream car safely tucked away in my workshop, my silver 1972 3.0CSL. Granted she is a restauration project and is far from finished but she will always be with me.

Hi Mark

Nice to see a CSL, if you ever want to part with her, give me a call.

You have any idea what present value is on a true CSL . Coupe,Sport Light? RHD were only 500 produced.

Round off a cool 1mil to 1.5 depending on originality. I would restore to complete original. Parts can be got from a company in Uk/Germany that bought BMW's total inventory of CSL spares.Light weight fenders, roof, ect When the CSL was launched they were steep in price and didnt sell to well, so bad that the remaining cars were sold on auction for peanuts. Little did anyone know what value they would have in the future.

Very Nice machine you have right there Mark...!

I remember seeing one in boksburg a couple years back, I almost rolled my car(My goodness they are sexy cars in the flesh - specially with the ribs they have on the top of the fenders) - I havent seen any road versions on the road yet, besides the one I saw.

Only advice I got - is finish her!!!

I absolutely love this car! I have a friend that also has an amazingly clean one of these so let me know if there's any questions to be asked. He also has 2 Batmobiles in his collection.
Love it! :inlove:
