How many 1 Series M Coupes did SA actually get

Originally SA only had 137 or 138 1 Series M Coupes assigned. So how many did South Africa get in the end and how many has been written off? I know production seized in April 2012. As far as I can see the UK got 450 units.

I heard that there were only 60 of them being sold and I know 3 of them have been wrecked in S.A. already dam twats

I've been searching the web, and 71 was apparently allocated in 2011. I can not find anything for 2012. I know mine was manufactured in April 2012 and I only took delivery in September 2012. It would be very interesting to know how many were actually sold in South Africa. I know for a fact that I did not get the last one as a colleague saw one with paper plates in Cape town two weeks ago. He even sent me a photo.

I can illegally place legal paper permits on my car too. Means nothing!

This car was not written off. Was repaired by Zambesi Auto BMW in Pretoria at a cost just over R300 000. The guy still has it and has put M stipes on the bonnet. Production of the 1M terminated 29th June 2012. Have sent a couple of mails to BMW SA to find out how many 1M are in SA but they have not responded.

This car was not written off. Was repaired by Zambesi Auto BMW in Pretoria at a cost just over R300 000. The guy still has it and has put M stipes on the bonnet. Production of the 1M terminated 29th June 2012. Have sent a couple of mails to BMW SA to find out how many 1M are in SA but they have not responded.

I know about this car then. He was trying to sell the tyres that was replaced after the accident.

When I got my 2008 135i from a dealership last year I had paper plates on. I was pulled over, stuff was checked and everything was fine, so I assume it was perfectly legal.
