Here's my E36, it started out as a '93 316i. I have built it from the ground up, everything is done to it. It has a 2.0lt 16valve M42 engine, 6spd box, 3.64LSD, coilovers, 330i brakes and a shitload of other mods.

I think I should look at building up a 316/318 like that

Both cars are looking awesome as usual.

Hey Gizmo. Happy to see that you joined this place!

Cars are looking great as usual. I was always under the impression that you started with a 318i and then built that up. I need to bug you for a ride! :excited:

By the way, are you attending the BMW track day this Saturday at kyalami?

The splitters are Clubsport splitters from Eurospec in USA.

Yes I did, you can use the 6 speed from a 1 series or the E90, they bolt onto the engine no problem. I had to shorten my std propshaft by 105mm and get a 22 tooth spline clutch plate as opposed to the 5spd 10 tooth spline clutch plate.
Already my average fuel consumption has dropped from 9.8l/100km to 9.2lt/100km. :)

nice man....how did you manage to customize your propshaft because i know with the e36 its a sealed unit and if it craps you cant really fix it...well you can sort of but the chances are 50/50 they will work?

Had to take out the dash, disconnect the aircon pipes, remove the big old heater matrix unit, swap in the new one, plug it in (plug and play), install the dashboard and regas the aircon.

It is two pieces, the front section slides off the spline when you loosen that big nut on the outside of the shaft. I took it to a propshaft shop to be shortened and balanced.
