335i consumption

Hey Guys,

I am curious to get an idea of what kind of consumption you guys are getting, obviously this will be dependant on driving style, manual/auto, and city/highway driving?

Beemer claims 9.1l/100km with a combination of city and highway driving.

So how many km's are you guys getting on a tank?

Predominantly city driving I am averaging 10.9l/km with my wife and me driving. She normally averages slightly higher as she is one of those drivers that likes to leave the cars far behind at the lights.

Thanks for the feedback guys, I seem to be getting around early to mid 400km's per tank even though the consumption gauge says 8.5l/100?

This is mainly city driving, 12km to work, robots etc

I still think mine is slightly high though and this is conservative driving or am I mistaken?

Good thread MOO5E and hope u enjoying the ride. Comparing my 335 Coupe Auto with 19" tires vs my previous E90 325i Manual

- 335i (425km with 80% city driving), with 325i it was 520kms
- I did JHB - Durban and got 700kms, 325i was almost the same

With city driving, the 335i Auto seems much higher than my previous E90 325i Manual. On open road, the difference has not been that much.

Thanks bud, enjoying the ride :excited:

So I guess my consumption is normal then, on the open road it's economical but it seems thirsty in the city..... I guess that's the price you pay for the sheer driving pleasure lol

I struggle to keep my fuel consumption below 13L/100km urban driving.
Open road loaded and 140km/h cruise control get around 8.7L/100km.
Scouse, that is amazing figures you got on your way to Durbs:dropjaw:. With the 2.0T A4 I used to get around 6.6L/100km open road at 140km/h.

+1 on the 330d Mike, mine used to give the same. The e90 320d in town 850km, open road around 1250km which aint bad either...

I'm getting around 10.5l/100km on my current E92 335i DCT, mixed city/highway driving. This is surprisingly better than my previous car, E90 330i Steptronic, with 12.5l/100km. I am assuming the higher consumption was mainly due to the Steptronic auto box.

E90 330i Manual - so far in town driving I can keep it around 10 - 11 l/100 km, my wife tends to have a slightly heavier foot though. On the open road I have been able to get it down to 8.4 l/100 km with four adults and some wine in the boot from a Montagu trip! :)

The best and worst that I have seen so far - filled-up the car and zero'd the various meters. Drove off with a fairly enthusiastic manner, 37 l/100 km. Then settled down to 60 km/h (mostly) on a fairly flat stretch of road for a few km - got it down to 6.3 l100 km! LOL

Basically if I wanted an econobox I would have bought a small 1.4 petrol of some sort - I am too afraid of small diesels especially in the second hand market. Fuel savings/performance is great until injectors, pumps and turbos begin to fail. 2 cents...

I also get around around 12L urban driving which is not very slow, on open road i only get around 8L at 140kmh going to durban
