I think the actuators are sold in sets of 2 and cost around R800 for the set
Actuators need to be replaced.Thread revival,
My 2012 320d passenger doors front and rearwon't lock with the remote but will unlock if locked manually. The drivers door locks and unlocks normally. I haven't checked the fuses yet. But it's weird that it unlocks but doesn't lock.
The main issue, if you open an actuator up, is most of the moving parts that take a huge amount of force and impact are plastic. The toothed gears suffer constant torture for as long as they can and then a piece breaks off rendering the locking or unlocking process impossible.Actuators need to be replaced.
They work off 2 separate motors for opening and closing.

That does seem suspicious but surely the FRM and related fuse control all four doors so they would all go at once not just three? Is it possible for 3 doors to go all at once?

I have had three of mine go just at different times.
6 years later and the drivers door now does this
Does not lock or unlock with key fob, but locks and unlocks with the actual key.

Common failure with E90s due to age,I had my driver's side door actuator fail and the guy that tried to fix it broke my key cylinder so I had to fix it with the door closed.... You should make sure you buy the correct door actuator for right hand drive models,no point in trying to repair the old actuator6 years later and the drivers door now does this
