Morning All,

As per my previous post, there was still work to be done on this M cosmetically. So, to bring that part of the project to a close.

We pickup where we left off, which was a freshly corrected paint job... Nice fresh start and I got her washed and cleaned up - We do love when the paint beads and looks this good after just a wash:

Seeing the paint was perfect I wanted to get the last of the messy bits out of the way before I proceeded with final stage finishing - Namely the exhaust tips which age very poorly on these early 2000s M cars and wrap up the engine bay. I tackled the exhausts with compound and a honing brush on my cordless drill and the results were epic:

I also gave that dirty key slot a clean shortly thereafter - Not that Peter didn't remind me 5 times to do that, I think it was annoying him more than it was annoying me.

The engine bay was next up - Now, I cannot take any credit for cleanliness here, that is all Peter's doing. I gave the engine a good wash regardless and dressed it in a product that's become my favourite for engine bays for its subtle and uniform satin sheen - DNA Satin Interior Spray.

Simply outstanding - Nothing quite like an E46 M3 engine bay looking fresher than factory.

The Interior was quite a mess unfortunately. I used two bottles of Leather Cleaner in here just to get the seats and door panels back to where they should be and even at this point the interior still had more potential.

Here is a contrast picture of the door card, that's been cleaned, and the balance of the interior that has not:

Not seeing the difference yet? How about now?

This took ages to get clean as you can imagine. However, the results were spectacular.

The upholstery was cleaned (not wet extracted though, just brush cleaned), the seals were treated, the trim was treated and the leather received a healthy dosage of Leather Conditioner to bring it to life and soften it up. The staining on the trim etc was gently removed (as we know the trim peels on these cars) and the glass was cleaned up too.

Just a quick disclaimer - The interior still has a ton of potential. The package opted for on this vehicle is a popular mid-range package for +- R2500 to R3000 for exterior and interior. I had already long overshot my timelines on the interior to get it to this point.

This vehicle would benefit with seat and trim removal as well as wet-extraction on the carpets - Kindly keep in mind this is the best finish achievable in the time allocated to the package - I have discussed further interior work with the client and given him additional pricing to get it to 10/10.

With that said, its a different interior already. :)

I have had a fair number of cars attended to by Michael and he never disappoints
For those of you who could not be bothered detailing your cars I would strongly recommend his services.
