Hi Guys

Need some help with my E71 X6.
Brakes paddle goes right down to floor. Catches when pushed right down.

When car is off paddle has pressure but when switched on it’s like breaks is none existent.

Break fluid is good, no leaks. Also tried bleeding it which helped some bit but still problem is there.

Has anyone else experienced this issue?
No warning lights on dash.

Hey man,

Sounds similar to an issue I had, on my E70 X5 the brake pedal would go right down to the floor with no resistance, I would have to pump the brakes for a while to get the pedal hard again and then the brakes would work but then next morning same thing, got to a point where pumping wouldn't bring the brakes back again. That issue was caused my by my master cylinder. I would start with that. Fairly cheap to buy second hand off a car that's being stripped and F series X5 and X6 use the same master cylinder so you can get one off a newer model.

Thanks for the info.
Let me source master cylinder & try it out.

Have you also used Ista to programmatically bleed the abs pump... Often that could resolve the issue as there are valves in the pump itself that can only be bled with software?
