PS4S tire size issue

Hi everyone

I am trying to switch from stock PSS to PS4s on my F82 M4, with the 666 rim. I am on standard size 265/30/20 front and 285/30/20 rear.

BMW Midrand tell me the PS4 star rated does not come in my sizes, so they tried a slightly bigger tire but it is not fitting, neither front nor rear..

The only option is for them to fit PSS front and Cup2/PSS rear.

Car is currently sitting with them as I asked for time to decide.

Any help?

Abit difficult to give advise if we dont know your driving style or reason for switching to PS4s.

PS4s is a better tyre overall but that doesnt mean the standard PSS is bad. PSS i found to be a brilliant tyre in normal circumstances and the occasional 1/4 mile run.

PS4s will have better grip over the PSS on a track however the cup 2s is the winner for traction (When at the correct temp) but you sacrifice mileage.

Just ask for the non star rated versions of the PS4S, I'd pick them over PSS.

A few months back I bought 285/30/20 PS4s tyres (star-rated) from JSN

i wouldnt fit non-star rated anything to my car under MP, because BMW will use any non-star rated thing as an excuse for why your suspension/drive train issues are not their problem.

Did you need spacers? With the next size, mine is rubbing in the front and the rear has a clearance of less than 10mm.
I fitted them on my F10 M5. The point I was making is that the star-rated 285/30/20 4s tyres were available at BMW a few months back - contrary to what you are now being told the position is.

I went to the michelin site now and also saw that indeed they come in the 285 size. I cannot find the 265 for the front however, does anyone know if they come in this size?
BMW have already fitted the Super sport and they pushed me to do so as they wanted to test the car after replacing the charge cooler as my tires were gone.
They told me the only tires approved by BMW were Pss front, and Pss or Cup2 rear.
Tomorrow im going to collect the car. I want PS4s ateast at the rear, I'll demand that they remove the pss.
