Hey dude,
Sorry about that, but that fact that it is solved...take it as school fees. I had a warranty on my M135i which i never used because many of the preventative items would just be too much of a hassle.
Yeah I’m less stressed about driving a bit far from home now. I was starting to stress about losing all coolant 100s of kms away home.
And on your acceleration being slow in 'Comfort', maybe you need to do an adaptations reset. Google it but mostly it is swtich the ignition on ONLY, dont start that car. hold down the accelerator until you feel the button under being pressed and hold this for about 10-15 seconds (IIRC) and then release the accelerator and switch the car off. Lock it and unlock it and start it up and the accelerator adaptations should be reset and will adapt to your driving style afterwards. Feels like a new car once this is done. If you hoon it, the car will adapt to this and become a bit jerky as it will be hooning it all the time in that mode lol.
Thanks for this. Will definitely Google and YouTube. It never crossed my mind that this could be a solution. Hope it works because it’s really noticeable.

All my hooning is on sports mode, it’s like driving a completely different car.

I have done it plenty times especially on the F20, you will definitely feel the difference. Given the symptoms, it shold work because most of the time you driving the car easy in comfort daily especially in CPT traffic, it will get a bit lazy to match the driving pattern essentially giving you a more relaxed ride.
But yeah, give it a go, its harmless...no damage to the car or anything. Easy option to use for now.

Can confirm this works like a charm, I did it monthly.

Now that I'm on MHD, you have the option for linear throttle mapping. What you put in is what you get out, it reduces low end torque and kind of behaves like an NA car. I usually enable this with my daily drives on Stage 1 and 60% power for a very relaxed ride. It's horrible when you actually want to hammer it though, completely removes the punch and makes the car feel slow.
