After i went for a drive today i went home and had the car idling a bit to cool off before i shut it off, gave it a small rev and realised that there was a squealing noise coming from the front of the car, it sounds like it is a belt or pulley, but i could be wrong. Never had this issue before. The squealing or squeeking noise starts right as the revs drop after reving. I will link a video that i took below.

Hi Liam
Difficult to tell with just the sound, Is it possible to share a video showing the belt tensioner while the car is idling and also at a small load
I experienced something similar on my N54 and it turned out to be the tensioner.

I'll leave the far more knowledgeable fanatics on here to chime in.

Check for any oil residue or leak around the tappet cover gasket… usually towards the rear.

Could also be the PCV valve.
