Hi,
I sold 2 cars through https://weelee.co.za/ last year.
They receive bids from various used car dealers and you get the highest offer, subject to viewing. The dealer who ended up buying my cars was a small dealer in Pretoria. They paid me via EFT in full and allowed the funds to clear before fetching my cars.
Weelee found me higher offers than We Buy Cars, MitMak motors, etc.
(Disclaimer: I used Weelee to sell one car. The dealer who came to buy the car, saw my other car at my house and made an offer on the spot for both. So, in theory Weelee helped me sell 2 cars)
A friend sold his vehicle to them, was seamless. I think they belong to the Durban South Toyota group.Hi guys
Regarding selling to a dealership, would appreciate some feedback if anyone has had experience and recommendations. Anyone tried selluscars based in DBN? They seem to have decent reviews on Google.
Feedback would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
100k is crazy. I guess I'm in a similar situation. I've got a 2018 320i M Sport currently with 80k km on the clock. Had the motor plan extended (set to expire 28/06/2025 or 100k km) and just put fresh Michelin PS4 tyres all around 4k km ago. Didn't intend on selling but going to be emigrating. Agreed that not a crazy amount can be done in 2 months of plan (although I've heard stories lol) but its more for peace of mind knowing everything till now was done at BMW. Unfortunately I don't think those dealers would see much value in it. Going to get the car washed and get some pics then await the low ball offers lol. Also WBC seems to have a strange formula that doesn't take into account LCI or big option packs. Weelee has dealers that know what they are looking for. Our Merc was in an LCI year and WBC refused to offer more than their estimate despite us getting a R100K more via Weelee. This is while WBC had similar cars with the same mileage to the Merc listed for nearly R100K MORE than our Weelee offer. The guy who did the valuation said their system gives a value based on his report, the manager adjusted it as much as he could and that's that, take it or leave it.
I see Autotrader offers a similar strategy, will give them a shot as well.Hi,

How was the experience selling to Cubbi?Selluscars is an excellent dealership... Bought a few company vehicles from them aswell as i know the owner personally no issues with them....
Weelee generally offers higher than webuycars..mitmak offered me on one car lower then webuycars lol... But eventually that vehicle was sold to cubbi they gave the highest offer. Cubbi is own by bidvest group if I'm not mistaken.
