My 3rd M car OG M2 (Update - Carbon diffuser)

Car is still filthy with all the rain we've been having.
I dropped by my local BMW yesterday to get the M gel stickers for the wheels as i noticed they all missing.
R120 each for tiny piece
also booked it in for a service next month, car had extended Motor Plan until 31 December 2024.
the history gives me all service details until December 2023, the on board idrive does note services in 2024 but i dont have any detail.
BMW Northcliff says I need to call Menlyn and Boksburg for the missing invoices.
I also did a thing where im sure youl all hate me for , i wanted the black badge and the one i bought online happened to come with a 'competition' emblem below it, i couldnt resist !!
will remove later but for now allow me to feel special

Hi Guys
So some small mods/upgrades on the M2
1) M Perf Tail Pieces
2) M Perf Pedal Covers
3) New OEM Steering wheel, since i bought the car this has bugged me, the original steering wheel was in good condition without any tears or scuffs but I'm not sure what product the previous owner used but the Tricolour Stitching looked to be faded, i tried my best cleaning it with a tootbrush and some Autoglym products but couldn't get the color to pop so got a new one
4) DP - I found a 1 month old Strada DP on FBM , wasn't too concerned about performance but i did want something that will sound better and after much consideration i went ahead and all i can say is WOW!, cold starts are proper and car feels like it has a new character.
cold starts are throaty and there's a deep growl after 4000rpm.
Some issues
1) after having the car washed a few weeks ago i picked up the center HK speaker in the middle of the dash making random crackling sounds even if the radio is off, mostly happens over rough road surfaces, definitely the weirdest issue Iv ever experienced on a car, for now im gona pry out the speaker cover and try disconnecting it and then reconnecting and see if that helps, if not il need a new speaker
2) rattle coming from what seems to be the rear seat/ parcel shelf, Iv ordered some sound deadening material and plan to strip the everything and find the culprit, i got a gut feeling its from the rear parcel shelf so i need to do some homework in figuring out how to strip it all correctly.
any thoughts or suggestions will help

Lovely upgrades bud,
But when you are getting into the centre speaker on the dash, be very careful and use the super thin interior removal tool. My F20 had the same issue and the previous owner cracked the lip of the speaker cover because its held pretty tight and crack easily, so it cracked when they were lifting it. Was an eyesore, tiny but you know its there and it is annoying.
Love hearing that turbo whistle when the DP is fitted, miss that N55 noises!

i managed to pry it out slowly without any damage.
however the crackling noise has jumped from the center speaker to the HK door speaker, after much googling i come quite a few threads where guys are saying its the amplifier thats playing up.

From what I understand that annoying rattle is a common issue on most BMW coupés, I have the same rattle on my F32, in my case its the flaps/covers which close the baby seat hooks. The plastic tends to get hard with time and causes that rattle, a quick fix was lining the edge of the flap with insulation tape.

Sorry dude, if you got some free time also check the wiring in between the door jams. A few times when I googled the okes said the wiring had some kinks that can play up too.

Had the pleasure of seeing this car today and i have to say well done Mo! This M2 is super clean inside and out, it looks and Sounds amazing! Enjoy the trip to KZN, I'm sure its going to be a fun drive!

Thanks bud, steering wheel makes a massive difference to me at least.
I got it from a guy in CT , he changed to M performance wheel on his M4 when his car was brand new and had this one was laying around unused, i got lucky i guess.
i got one for my 330d about 4 years ago and was also brand new and unused, check FB market place they do come up.
