So yesterday I had all my control arms changed and the new Powerflex bushings installed except one which seems like a real piece of work to install 😆
The short drive home was interesting. The car is much more responsive and sits on the road well. Feels almost better put together and there is no disconnect. Both accelerating and braking is smoother and more defined.
On the other hand you feel slow bumps much more. Fast, bumpy roads are slightly worse than stock but not as bad as I was expecting. What I was not expecting is the car to sound different. The car sounds meaner 🤷🏻
There is also much more road noise especially when accelerating. Not sure if I like the extra sounds. UPDATE - A bit too much noise for me.
UPDATE - There is a slight vibration. Most noticeable when idle or accelerating
I don’t think that I would recommend others to install all the bushes. Car handles better, turns in sharper but the noise and extra feeling can take a while to get used to. Will check if they soften up a bit. If not I might remove 1-2 bushes to see if I can get the car handling just as good but with less noise.
Our roads are not meant for this. There should be a good setup somewhere in the middle. Luckily I bought the street bushes and not the race ones.
