Hi all,

I have some scratches on my car that are bothering me.

Would the BMW paint touch up kits work on this or should I be looking for professional help?

Thanks

Definitely spray the door IMHO. It is going to look just as bad with touch up paint.

The bonnet seems like something only you're going to notice. At best, I would attempt a touch up and live with it until you have a need to spray the whole panel. TBH I am living with worse scratches because it just isn't 'damaged' enough that it warrants action. You could try air brushing that spot maybe? Sometimes this has a 'streisand effect' of sorts and ends up just drawing more attention to that spot though as it will be a relatively large 'blob' of different texture to the surrounding area as opposed to scratches within a uniform surface (Friday afternoon explanations... but hopefully I am making sense :ROFLMAO:)

any recommendations for shop that would do a good job repairing the ding on the door? A got a quote for R2.5k, not sure if it's reasonable?

When it is very small scratches, sometimes its better to rather leave it as is, then touch it up with touch up paint.
The touch up paint is always a different shade or the metallic comes out different and looks like you let a child try touch it up, no matter how well you touch it up.

Rather leave it as is, until a professional body shop can do it for you.
The door looks like it will need to be professionally done.

I swear by scratch x. For light scratches, it really works well.

I have even managed to get some deeper scratches out with a with a bit of elbow grease.
