Hi Guys,

Hoping someone, anyone could extend some advise.
I recently purchased a e90 323i 2010 with about 150k on the clock. The car is in good condition however I have a grind on the diff which has been deemed bad diff. I am looking to replace the diff but can't find any 323i diffs in Cape Town. My understanding is that they all differ in e90 series.

Can I use all alternative diff? If so, which one? I have an auto which has 3.73 I may be wrong.

I'm desperate and don't want to pay 15k to refurb as my research shows this is a design flaw.

Hi Bud.

The 325i auto also uses the same 3.73 diff.
I had mine removed a while back for some work and I can confirm it was a 3.73.
Thanks brother.. Forgot to mention, mine is an LCI. This makes no difference right?

Stripping it out the weekend so I can have a physical sample

It should be the same...

Also, have you made sure its the diff that stuff'd?
Its not a high powered car and the kilo's are quite low for a diff to go bad.
Maybe make sure its not the universal joint or the centre bearing.

I had a vibration that everyone told me was the diff. It turned out to be the rear univeral.

I'm experiencing vibration and grinding noises from the rear. When the car was jacked, saw it's leaking from the diff. Those are the only tell tale signs
