Hi Mates,
I’ve got a G20 330i Msport 2019, going off motoplan, do you think it will be advisable to renew the Motoplan or trade it in for an X3 20d 2023

You need to add some context to this.

E.g extending a motorplan is cheaper, much much cheaper than going out to buy a whole new car, let alone a R900k to million rand car.

I suspect the reasons for wanting the X3 are unrelated to the expiry of the motorplan of the 3 series and that is absolutely fine. There is no scenario where you are better off getting a new car vs extending a motorplan (with no other additional factors to consider).

Hi Mate,
The cost to extend the motoplan is around R90k, so I was thinking maybe it will be wiser to add that R90k on the new car. Really never had an issue with my 330i , I love the car

the 2l 190kw 330 starting to bore you and you going for a economical 2l diesel instead..maybe more context besides the MP dilemma?
No other dilemmas beside been in a safe side, and having peace of mind . When it come to repairs

The X3 is not going to have significantly newer tech (that term again :ROFLMAO: ) than the G20. You may prefer the G20 design interior wise.

I am more interested in why your plan extension is costing R90K. It is supposed to be 25K (or so) per year for time only

The R90k is for 2 years right? Also includes services?

No quite sure, but my mileage is 91000km on the clock . So I got a quote for 87k for 60000km / 3 years

Ah I see. It is probably the amount of mileage being added.

Does BMW now allow 3 years of plan extension? It was max 2 until pretty recently.

I would keep the 330 then..its a performance car. That MP extension is reasonable if three years..did i read that right??..go check the motorplan extension thread currently still active. The Audi freeway plan is head and shoulders above the competition..if you keen on making a switch.

Include everything sir, for 3 years /60.000km
Based on this alone, I would extend motorplan. You can then save the would be X3 instalments (minus R90k) for the next 3 years and see what you want to buy when the plan expires and cannot be extended.

Yes, BMW give only 2 Years for the same amount, but Motorite gave 3 years with same service as the BMW.

All I want to know if it’s wise to keep my G20 or should I get another car.
